I couldn’t have dreamed for a better start to the Tour de France, this 100th edition. With a beautiful sunrise I set off from Porto Vecchio at 6am and set out on the route that took me up the eastern coastline of Corsica. The first 60km was the best part, with a loop down to Bonifacio and back to Porto Vecchio, in perfect conditions and astonishing coastal scenery.
